Privacy Notice

Who We Are

BioPath is a dental concierge coordination service operating in Costa Rica. We are not a healthcare provider. We do not diagnose, treat, or perform dental procedures. Clinical evaluations and all dental treatments are performed exclusively by independently licensed dental professionals at our partner clinics in Costa Rica.

Submitting the BioPath intake form does not create a doctor-patient relationship with BioPath or with any clinic. A clinical relationship is established only upon your arrival at and acceptance by a partner clinic.

What Information We Collect

When you complete our intake form, we collect:

• Full name and date of birth
• Contact information (email address and phone number)
• A description of your dental interests and concerns
• Your preferred method of contact
• The date and time you gave consent, and the version of this notice you agreed to

Why We Collect It

We use this information solely to match you with the appropriate partner clinic and to coordinate your initial consultation. Your information is not used for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond care coordination.

Who We Share It With

Your information may be shared with our partner dental clinics in Costa Rica for the purpose of scheduling and coordinating your consultation.

If you arrived through a referral link from one of our content or wellness partners, your name, contact information, and information about dental procedures undertaken may be shared with that partner. This is for the purpose of coordinating complementary care and treatment recommendations. Our referral partners are independent brands and do not perform dental procedures.

We do not sell or rent your information. We do not share it for marketing or advertising purposes.

Third-party processors that may handle your data:

• Supabase — cloud database hosting (servers located in the northeastern United States)
• Dropbox — secure file upload service for dental scans and imaging

Commercial Relationships

BioPath earns a coordination fee from its partner clinics when a client completes a consultation. This financial relationship does not affect your treatment costs, the clinical recommendations made by the clinic's doctors, or the quality of care you receive.

There is no financial relationship between BioPath and its referral partners. Referral partnerships are content partnerships only.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored on servers located in the northeastern United States, managed by Supabase. By submitting the intake form, you acknowledge that your information will be stored in the United States.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your information for a minimum of five (5) years from your last interaction with BioPath. After that period, your data will be deleted unless you request earlier deletion.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — request that we correct any inaccurate information
• Deletion — request that we delete your information

Governing Law

This notice is governed by the laws of Costa Rica, including the Ley de Protección de la Persona frente al Tratamiento de sus Datos Personales (Law No. 8968) and its regulations (Decree No. 37554-JP).
